Transcription: Today, July 20th, 2026 is the 50th anniversary of Viking 1. Yes indeed. On July 20th, 1976, the Viking 1 lander touched down on Mars. That must have been big news in those days. But how important was the mission? Vastly important. For the first time, we were able to analyze the Martian surface and detect traces of life. Unfortunately, no life was found on Mars. But today, human beings are living on the Red Planet. And I'd like to take advantage of this occasion to welcome the 12 members of the Deimos 4 crew, who this very morning just made a particularly brilliant landing.
